Description
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Transplant Hepatologist to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primarily provide clinical service to pediatric liver transplant and pediatric liver and GI patients, both in the pediatric liver clinic and pediatric liver transplant clinics.
Provide inpatient clinical care to pediatric gastrointestinal and liver patients and pediatric liver transplant patients.
Inpatient service is shared between all eight providers within the division.
Provide pre-op and post-op care to pediatric liver transplant patients.
Teach a variety of learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows. Teaching can occur within the classroom, in small groups, and in lectures, as well as in the delivery of clinical care.
Carry out independent research/scholarly activity in an area of interest to the candidate and the division. These pursuits can take many forms and will often be executed in conjunction with clinical activities but are not limited to that venue.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of an ACGME-approved pediatric residency program is required.
Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatric Transplant Hepatology is required.
Interest in academic medicine, involving teaching to a variety of learners is essential.
Experience in an academic medical setting preferred.
For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment or promotion to Associate Professor or Professor on the CHS Track.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology (Certificate of Added Qualification) from the American Board of Pediatrics is required.
Candidate is required to have or be eligible for a Wisconsin medical licensure.
Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges.
